A million torches, lighted by Thy hand,Wander unwearied through the blue abyss; They own Thy power, accomplish Thy command—All gay with life, all eloquent with bliss.

Peace

On a marvel night, through a wonder-light,Love led me around the world.

Joy is Thine!

Oh, fearful one, couldst thou beholdThe life apart from fears and sighsThat Love unfolds to seeking eyes,Wouldst not with gladness leave the old?

The Master

What vision held those eyes so rapt and true,That he could walk upon our common earthAnd make it blossom in conception newOf man's divinity,—transcendent birth?

Sorrow Vanquished

The gate of sorrow swings upon its hinge,And as it sways with every load of fearOr gentle waft of joy's expectancy,I see the Christ beyond, and fain would reachThe outstretched arms in wide entreaty spread.

Woman

The Father called His child.

Vision Beautiful

The sun is always shiningAnd the sky is always blue,For our vision of the beautifulIs one with what is true,As the prayer of understandingPierces through the clouds of sense,And our hearts sing at the knowledgeOf God's omnipotence.

Reflection

Into the night the lighthouse sendsIts guiding ray,Cheering the bark that landward wendsIts storm-tossed way.

Knowing

I know that God is good,That Love is true,That Truth divine abides,And doth endueThe heart of every woman,Man, or child,With purity and faith,And instincts mild.
