"Ever with me"

I lay upon a hillside cold and bare;I had no friends, no home, no means to live,When on my dull ears struck a voice divine,"Son, thou art ever with me; all is thine.

Harmony

Oh, for a broader love, that clasps a whileBoth friend and seeming enemy in one embrace; That sees the true reflection of God's smile 'Neath earth's cold frown in every brother's face!

"Awake thou that sleepest"

We seek no flashing light that gleameth far away,Piercing the shrouding night with transient ray;Called out of sleep, Father, we pray to TheeThat Truth's unclouded sun may light our way.

The Guiding Light

Oh, let not seeming lure usTo leave the charted way;Let wisdom still adjure usWith precepts day by day.

Pinions

Rest in fullest measure,Wait upon the Lord;Soon 'twill be His pleasureTo fulfil His word; Then will Truth dawn faster.

Love's Guidance

Naught that the erring senses say Can e'er our trusting hearts dismay; Nor should a doubt or fear obscure This thought: In Love we dwell secure.

Guidance

O guide unfailing, always art Thou here!Though earth's obscuring mists would intervene,Through consciousness uplifted Thou art seen,By Truth revealed in Spirit's atmosphere.

Gratitude

For Truth that has dawned upon error's long night,O'erspanning the cloud with its rainbow of light; For Love ever present, dispelling the gloom,Transforming earth's drought into fresheness and bloom; The balm of the healing Christ ever at hand,Supply all-sufficient for daily demand; For hope growing brighter, calm trust that sustains; For strength in the conflict, sweet peace which remains; For loved ones now walking this same narrow way,Whose fellowship cheers in the heat of the day;—For all the sweet joys which my footsteps attend,I thank Thee, dear Father, redeemer and friend.
