Freedom

When the radiance of the morning wakens all the world to light,And the fetters forged in darkness through a long and cruel nightFall asunder, free forever, man shall rise in holy might.

Father, I Thank Thee

I Thank Thee, Father, that I know the constancyOf Love divine,That Life and Truth and Love unchanging are,And all are mine.

God's Love to You

The song of the lark,The stars in the darkThat shine through the midnight blue; The mountain whose peakInvites you to seekA clearer, more far-reaching view; Each flower that blows,The heartsease, the rose,—What are these but God's love to you?

Gratitude

I thank Thee, Father, for Thy truthThat teaches us of heaven within; That makes us pure and brave and strong,And frees us from the grasp of sin.

Love's Reflection

What is love?

The Lesson of the Sunset

In the golden hour of sunset,When the birds begin to nest,Comes a sweet sense of His presenceAnd a calm and peaceful rest.

"Now is the day"

Remember not the yesterdays,Their trials or their tears;Remember not their bitterness,Nor any of their fears.

The Upward Path

Let me not be a channel, Love divine,For any secret hate or open strife:The thought that leads to Thee, though sore beset,Must hold one in the sense of perfect life.

Protection

Wondrous the might of God! Held in the graspOf omnipresent Mind the worlds remain.

Prayer

'Tis not self-justifying, eloquent refrain,Nor skeptic asking, nor the empty mightOf repetition, long and loud and vain;It is the constant striving to do right.
