My Prayer

O Lord, in all my ways may I beholdYour light and power, and see each dayYour qualities — so manifold.

Be Still and Know

To those who learn to listen for God's voiceAnd put no trust in man,To silence all the senses’ clamor—To be stillIn presence of His loving plan—There is a sure rewardIn peace and rest and happinessThe worldly wise can never know,Transcending all this world has ever thoughtOr that which wealth or fame or beauty ever bought.

Morning Hymn

With my morning thought awaking.

Eternal Life

Is life confined to threescore years and ten?

Leaning on God

When all material aid is gone,With only God to lean upon,Expectantly to carry onWill bring release.

Afterglow

When strength ran low andNights were starlessAnd the sunlight dim; When even bird songs seemed to comeIn far-off minor notes,In prayer I humbly turned to Thee.
