THE LENS OF SCIENCE

I sought correction for the erring sightThat conjured images of falsityWhen I desired to know mankind aright.

MY DUTY GIVES ME ENDLESS JOY

My duty gives me endless joy:It is to have my thoughts employThemselves in knowing God is One,In knowing that His will is done,In knowing He will hear each call,In knowing He is All-in-all!

THE COMFORTER

They thought their friend and Master dead,And, hungering for him, bereftOf all they loved, they turned for breadBack to the trade which they had left.

WAY-SHOWER

When Jesus walked, the people pouredFrom every town and village street,Bringing their sick and suffering onesTo have them healed—to hear him speak.

THE LIVING CHRIST

He sat by the wayside begging that dayAnd a wonderful thing occurred:"Jesus of Nazareth passeth by"—These were the words he heard.

ANSWERED PRAYER

We would be free,Earth's burdened mortals cry.
