Quiet Resting Places

IN quiet resting places, Lord,I sit and talk with Thee,And listen to the "still small voice"Which calms and comforts me.

Teach Me to Love

Teach me to love, dear Father-Mother, God,To lose all thought of self in serving Thee,Above the clouds of sorrow, sense, or sinWith vision pure Thy perfect child to see.

God's Song

My Father bids me bear a songWithin my heart the whole day long;A song that soars on wings of praiseAnd lifts my thought to higher ways.

Declaration

Offspring of God! What heritage is mine,Heir to His kingdom, absolute, divine!I am His son! My Father's law for meIs limitless, established, perfect, free.

Love's Allness

The pastures are not always green,The road ofttimes seems long,Yet God I know is by my side,So near, so dear, so strong.

Truth's Witness

He moves steadfastly on his daily round,Sustained by Truth that cannot be gainsaid,And where he lingers, joy and faith abound,For by the meat of wisdom he is fed.

Defense

Oh, let us now rejoice, be glad, give praise—Peace and good will, the standard which we raise—Entrenched in Truth, clad in Love's panoply;See how the armies of the aliens flee!No weapon in our hand, our sure defenseThe consciousness of God's omnipotence;Love's bugle call will break the dream of sin,The kingdom of our God to usher in.

Capacity

If God forgave the uncompleted task, the shelved assignment or the work undone, then might we think that God could sometimes asktoo much of man.

A Prayer

Cleanse me, Lord, that I may seeThe beauty of divinity;Give me courage, Lord, to goWith outstretched hands down paths of woe;Help me, Lord, to ease or bearAnother's burden of despair;Lift my thought to heights above,That I may know the fruits of Love;Grant me vision of Thy plan,Where perfect God and perfect manAbide in love, and have so stood,Since Thou hast made and called all good!
