God Fills All Space

God fills all space.

Assurance

'Tis good to know that Thou art close beside me,However dark the way to sight appear;'Tis good to know that Thy right hand doth guide meThrough days of seeming pain and nights of fear.

Unawares

Into my heart an angel came one day,And found me strangely startled, unawares.

To-day

To-day, I talked with God when morning brokeAnd birds their matins sang, the leaves among;And, in that sweet communion, my heart caughtA clear reflection of the radiant morn,And worshiped, with all nature at His feet.

Purity

Because, O God, Thy glory I would see,I raise my daily prayer for purity;That all the crude, unsightly sketches tracedWithout Thy wise direction, be erased;And on the ready tablet of my thought,Only Thy faultless pattern may be wrought.
