SHEPHERDED

FEAR not ; though dark thy pathway lies, Behind the clouds are azure skies; And angels watch, and guide thy feet By waters still, through meadows sweet; For, lo, the Shepherd guards His sheep, And doth not slumber, neither sleep.
Not for tomorrow does the promise read, But grace today to fill each present need; Each day to feel Love's all-sustaining power; Each day to know that Life is man's great dower; Each day to grow still more to understand That all things good and true are from His hand; And, trusting daily in His tender care, To climb the hilltops and find angels there.

SELF -QUESTIONING

Have I no faith today,That I go halting on the road to God ?

THE FALSE AND THE REAL

I Thought I loved — but when the sun was shiningI caught the shadows only, on the grass.

"REVELATION."

A heav'nly  yearning rises in my heartTo pierce beyond the shifting veil of sense,To see all Thou beholdest, all Thou art,To know what underlies this frail pretense.
