Love your enemies?

It puzzled me for the longest time:Jesus' saying to all.

He fed the multitude

'Twas in a desert placeWhere fear and doubt alone would limit graceThat Jesus fed the multitude.

Awakening

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

I pray

that my thought may a manger be,like the manger of our Lord, welcoming the eternal Christever newly born.

A measure of meekness, Lord

Give me a measure of meekness, Lord;not a self-degrading whineor moans of falsely modest care.

Star!

That light of hope,That expectancy of good,That certainty of answer.

Childlike faith

My widowed mothersaw her meager earningsas that which God would magnifyinto sufficient supply—as Jesus saw the five loaves and two fishes.

A little light

It seemed my light was justSo small.
