At the Sunday morning service of the Christian Scientists at Odd Fellows Hall on Wisconsin Street a collection was asked in order that the necessary amount might be raised to meet the final payment on the property recently purchased, to be used as a meeting place for the members of the First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Franklin Street will soon be adorned by a handsome stone church, standing on the fine lot at the north-west corner of the intersection with Seventeenth Street, which was recently purchased by the Christian Scientists.
Plans have been furnished for the new temple of the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, which is to be erected at the southeast corner of Washington Boulevard and Leavitt Street.
The
first Christian Science church established in the South was dedicated in Atlanta, April 2, in the presence of a large congregation of interested people, among whom were a number of distinguished guests from a distance.
