Plans and specifications are nearly complete for the new Christian Science church, which is to be erected on the society's property on Twenty-third street at a cost of between twenty-five and thirty thousand dollars.
First Church of Christ, Scientist, has been holding its regular Sunday morning and Wednesday evening meetings in Masonic Hall, Fruitvale, but is finding the accommodations restricted for the growing congregation.
The last money due on the building indebtedness having been paid in, First Church of Christ, Scientist, dedicated its church edifice April 18 with simple ceremony, the regular Sunday services being preceded by the reading of a history of the church.
