To an unprejudiced observer who could study all religions with an impartial veneration for the good and reprobation for the bad elements they may contain, it might appear that there is one, and only one, fundamental difference between Christian Science and other Christian teachings.
Christian Science, as its name implies, is the Science of Christianity, the demonstrable knowledge of the Christ brought within the reach of human understanding.
As a regular member of an orthodox church for twentytwo years, I, like many, never understood the inconsistent literal or material interpretation of the Bible.

While Christian Science disagrees with some theories in respect to the nature of disease and sin, it recognizes that these exist in erring, mortal experience and must be dealt with and overcome according to God's laws.
