TRUTH'S APPEARING

That Christian Science has done much and continues to bless its adherents, is evidenced in the life of every faithful student of its teachings.

"GRATITUDE."

The writer was once asked when she most clearly realized or understood the fatherhood of God, and she answered, almost unconsciously, "When I am grateful!" The inquirer, however, did not seem satisfied with this answer, but appeared to think that most people's experience, including her own, was that they were able to get closer to God when in trouble.

HONESTY

After hours of random search through the Bible and Science and Health in quest of surcease from perturbed thought, the writer came across this terse sentence from our text-book: "We are not Christian Scientists until we leave all for Christ".

PERPETUAL PROGRESS

To every one working out the problem of life there come periods when the demand for progress is so insistent that the human sense shrinks from the task presented.

Your writer has been kind enough to concede some virtue to Christian Science, at the same time disclaiming for it so much as a "sisterhood with science.
Christian Science recognizes that all power, all knowledge, all presence, all action, is vested in God, Spirit, and that therefore the real universe which He created is spiritual, perfect, and harmonious.
Christian Science is scientific Christianity, or the Science of the truth expounded by Christ Jesus.
In answer to our critic, in his recent sermon, it should be understood that Christian Scientists do not entice any one from the churches; those who come from the churches have proved the truth in Christian Science for themselves, in the healing of moral or physical infirmities, and a large percentage of these have been healed after all other means had failed.
In a recent issue there appeared a signed article which raises the question as to whether Christian Science and Judaism are one and the same thing.
Some weeks ago comment was permitted in your paper on an attack on Christian Science which appeared in an inter-denominational religious monthly," reproduced locally for Australian circulation.
