Edgar McLeod, Committee on Publication for Northern California,
An Associated Press dispatch from Cincinnati, in your recent issue, is of unnsual interest, at least to Jews and to Christian Scientists, as it reports that "cognizance of the power of mental suggestion to heal some cases of illness was taken for the first time by rabbis attending the thirty-sixth annual convention of the Central Conference of American Rabbis," which adopted a resolution appointing a committee to determine just how far mental healing is compatible with the Jewish religion.
Miss V. M. Blancha Stievenard, Committee on Publication for Hertfordshire, England,
In answer to your correspondent's letter may we say we do not know the book to which he refers for quotations, namely, "Christian Science and Health, seventy-fourth edition, 1893.
Carrington Hening, Committee on Publication for the State of New Jersey,
In your column of "Letters to the Editor" in a recent issue a correspondent refers to the growth of mental and spiritual healing, and asks what qualifications are necessary to become a healer.
Peter B. Biggins, Committee on Publication for the Province of Alberta, Canada,
A report of a meeting of the Calgary presbytery, recently published in the Daily Herald, stated that in the minutes of its previous general meeting Christian Scientists and antiunionists, among others, were referred to as "detrimental to Christian advancement" in your community.
Arthur P. De Camp, Committee on Publication for the State of Missouri,
In a recent edition of the Sentinel of Webb City reference was made to the position of Christian Scientists on the questions of Bible study and Bible reading for public school children.
Charles W. J. Tennant, District Manager of Committees on Publication for Great Britain and Ireland,
The utterances on spiritual healing by a clergyman, appearing in your recent issue, are interesting, but his remarks on Christian Science need correction.
