In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

Prophetic Inspiration

The early prophets, who were animated by spiritual inspiration, were so because they listened for divine guidance.
Before becoming acquainted with Christian Science, the writer was much helped by an anthem frequently sung in the church of which she was a member, containing the words adapted from the thirty-seventh Psalm, "O rest in the Lord, wait patiently for Him, and He shall give thee thy heart's desires.

True Education

Michelangelo, the Italian painter and sculptor, once visited the studio of Raphael during his absence.

"Never doubting"

If the doubt, distrust, and fear of the human mind could be immediately replaced with spiritual confidence, trust, and love, the difficulties of the world which seem so real and portentous today would fade into insignificance and disappear.

"My Father's business"

Those who seek in Christian Science a solution of their business problems, or a reinvigoration of their activities as business men, turn again and again in their study to the words of Jesus, "Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

"Well done"

Familiar to all Bible students is the parable of the talents, in which the faithful servant who made wise use of his talents wins from his master the words of commendation, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

[H.

Dare to Stand for Truth!

The history of civilization holds the records of many men and women who have dared to stand for the truth as they saw it, and in so doing have been instrumental in the establishment and development of freedom, justice, law, and order in human society.

Angels

Bible readers have sometimes wondered why the angels, those gracious messengers from God who frequently appear in Bible narratives, are no longer seen by men.

Progress

Christian Science reveals the truth about progress and shows how to demonstrate it.

"Lift up your heads"

What an encouraging and loving admonition is found in the Master's words, "Lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh"! What tender understanding it betokens, what compassion to all who are struggling with a false sense of discord, of loneliness, doubt, and self-pity, for it shows the way out of the tangled web of wrong thinking.
Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has given us helpful advice concerning the great privilege of class instruction in Christian Science.
