In your report of an address in a recent issue the speaker was quoted as having ridiculed certain methods of alleviating human illness, including Christian Science.
In
accordance with the first chapter of Genesis, in which we read that "God created man in his own image," and with the declaration of Jesus, "God is a Spirit," Christian Science teaches that man is wholly spiritual, and explains the relationship of God and man as Father and son.
On
pages 149 and 150 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany," Mary Baker Eddy presents a great truth in these words: "Remember, thou canst be brought into no condition, be it ever so severe, where Love has not been before thee and where its tender lesson is not awaiting thee.
