In a recent issue, a fair-minded article appears on the subject of Christian Science, but the caption of this article may be misleading to your readers.

In
the world today there are many individuals, especially those unacquainted with the teachings of Christian Science, who believe that man is born of the flesh; that he is living in a wholly material universe, or perhaps a universe both material and spiritual, and that the inhabitants of this universe are subject to many hardships and disasters over which they have no control.
In a recent issue an article about Mesmer appeared, in which was stated, among other things, that Christian Science was founded on the discoveries of Mesmer.
