Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, often referred to by Christian Scientists as their revered Leader, in the first line of the Preface to her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," makes this statement: "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings.
The
awakening of mortal mind to the grand verity of being— one infinite God and His perfect creation—is more and more apparent to Christian Scientists, who note the growing awareness of humanity's great need for spiritual values.
"The
prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love.
Through
her divinely inspired writings Mary Baker Eddy has made a permanent contribution to spiritual research by explaining certain significant terms in their highest sense.
"Few
persons comprehend what Christian Science means by the word reflection," writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 301 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
