Overtones and Undertones

On page 496 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the author says, "Hold perpetually this thought,—that it is the spiritual idea, the Holy Ghost and Christ, which enables you to demonstrate, with scientific certainty, the rule of healing, based upon its divine Principle, Love, underlying, overlying, and encompassing all true being.
As in all other activities of the Christian Science church, in the electing of church officers there must be spiritual progress on the part of the church members or no real advancement has been made.
Throughout the Scriptures thought is sometimes likened to garments; and Mary Baker Eddy, the author of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," sometimes employs the same metaphor.

Forgiveness

Jesus said, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
