Healed of long-standing depression
My gratitude for the efficacy of the healing power of Christian Science goes beyond words. I was fully and completely healed of a long-standing depression through the power of prayer and the spiritual truths learned in Christian Science.
Over a period of thirty years I frequently found myself sad and afraid. I often had a Christian Science practitioner pray for me, and I prayed for myself as well. I knew from my dad and a sibling’s experience that this was a challenge believed to be hereditary.
During the Christmas holiday one year, with fear and sadness escalating, spiritual intuition guided me to ask a friend, who was listed as a Christian Science practitioner in The Christian Science Journal, for Christian Science treatment. I had never spoken to her about this problem before. She joyously agreed to take the case, and over the next two and a half years we worked together on a daily basis. Some days we spoke or texted several times. She never gave up and always responded to my fear with a powerful truth, sharing passages from the Bible or Mrs. Eddy’s writings.
