Aggressive cold symptoms healed
Over the Christmas holidays, I did quite a bit of traveling in order to stay with a dear friend, who was happy to have some company. The week was a wonderful, healing time, filled with love and laughter.
Toward the end of my visit, I started to exhibit some aggressive symptoms of a cold. Along with the discomfort I was feeling and the ugly picture that was presented, I felt sorry that I had brought this problem to my friend’s house, and I worried about how I would travel again the next day to visit my daughter. I was going to spend the weekend with a large group of people, and I did not want them to feel uncomfortable or worried about contagion.
The thought came to me that I couldn’t hurt my dear friend or anyone else. After turning to God in prayer, I realized it was important to refute and deny a “Herod thought” that would try to kill the natural Christly expression of joy, health, and peace. Then, in a conversation with a family member, it came out that there was a disturbance within the group I was going to visit. There was some unhappiness over a sense of inequality in the length of visits during the holidays.
