Love’s choreography
Is it some swift breath of wind
that catapults starlings
by thousands
across the sky
as one
flashing at every turn
wheeling through marsh light o’er
the fens to
roost in sedge or reed beds
each to its own nest
or something higher than wind,
more divine, that
shows itself
adjusting
upholding
enveloping
Love’s whisper is loud
Love’s shout is quiet
God’s song is endless
moving all in one accord
