A perfect solution
I was too far underwater. I could see the surface above me, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it in time. So, as a student of Christian Science, I started to pray. I held to the spiritual truth that, because God was the source of my supply, I could never find myself in a situation where I lacked anything I needed. That included air.
As I prayed, I suddenly realized that I wasn’t actually in any danger. I was asleep in bed—it was only a dream. But I didn’t wake up. Instead, in the dream, I was able to breathe underwater.
Essentially, to my sense of it, God, divine Love, had provided a perfect solution—underwater breathing—to a problem God was utterly unaware of because it was happening only in my dream. Being unaware of the problem, God was also unaware of the solution. But the solution sure worked for me!
