Healing of glaucoma and cataracts
At the end of 2024, I needed to renew my driving license, which required an eye test. During what I expected to be a routine eye exam, the optometrist showed alarm at my readings for glaucoma, which were exceptionally high in both eyes. After further testing, I was informed that I needed to return the following morning. The optometrist said that although the tests I had just undergone were extremely accurate, he wanted to do further tests.
This was especially concerning to me, since the same condition has troubled some of my family members. I went home and contacted a Christian Science practitioner to ask her to pray for me. We talked about my true, spiritual being as a whole and complete idea in divine Mind, God. This took away a lot of my fear. I felt a calm conviction that I wasn’t a mortal with a hereditary flaw, but a child of God with “a goodly heritage” (Psalms 16:6).
The practitioner was very loving and unwavering in her conviction that, as a child of God, I was perfect right at that moment and that no physical evidence otherwise could alter that fact. The only thing that truly mattered was what God was seeing and knowing about me. As His creation, I could express only perfection.
