Your secret place
No matter where you are,
you can always claim
your secret place with God.
Psalm 91 promises you are safe,
protected:
“He that dwelleth
in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Like the still, small voice
Elijah heard,
this secret place
is in your consciousness,
ever available,
especially in the busy places—
congested cities
with honking taxi cabs
and loud chatter,
crowded airports,
speeding cars on freeways,
packed-stadium sports events.
Embraced in the kingdom of heaven,
you are free of “the noisome pestilence.”
Your secret place remains.
Panic and stress
drop away.
No matter the circumstance,
stay in the secret place.
There you find peace—
the surety
that God is in control.
