Your healing ministry
Our healing work is always right in front of us.
Many years ago, as I was doing my morning study of the weekly Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly, it occurred to me that maybe I had missed something important about Jesus’ ministry—not so much the things he said or the healings he accomplished but where those healing opportunities occurred. Mostly, it seemed to me, they were right in front of him as he was walking somewhere or engaged in some other business.
I thought that maybe this, like so many other aspects of the Master’s life, was a message for his followers that the healing work is always right in front of us. The more I thought about this, the more true it seemed. Where else would our healing work be?
Based on this thinking, I came to refer to my spiritual path as my healing ministry. Walking in this path gave me opportunities to bless others as well as everything I needed for my own spiritual progress.
