Prayer heals chronic sinus trouble
Nearly five decades ago, I had a severe case of flu that resulted in persistent inflammation and blockage of my sinuses. After years of seeing doctors and allergy specialists and trying medication, diet, exercise, and surgery, I experienced no improvement.
Some years later, I became a student of Christian Science. Yet, even with treatment through prayer from different Christian Science practitioners at different times, I continued to have the same symptoms. Concluding that this condition was too difficult for Christian Science to heal, I determined to live with it as best I could. I adapted by breathing through my mouth.
Then, about a year ago, I began delving more deeply into what Christian Science teaches about reality, eternity, time, and the nowness of spiritual existence as the expression of God, Spirit. I studied these concepts in the Bible and in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I also looked up articles addressing these topics in the Christian Science magazines. This study helped me gain a deeper understanding of God and the perfection of His creation. It also helped me see that since God is both All and wholly good, now and forever, evil has no past, present, or future.
