Swollen foot restored to normal

One morning I woke with a very painful toe. It felt as if it was broken, but I didn’t remember doing anything that would have caused that to happen. I was able to get around during that day, but the following morning the whole foot was badly swollen and I couldn’t move any of my toes. I could hardly put any weight on the foot, so I held on to furniture to get around the house.

Later that morning, my large dog was walking close in front of me, which she does when she wants to be let outside to play. I accidentally stubbed the original bad toe on her leg. It didn’t seem to faze my dog, but it reminded me that I had done that same thing the previous afternoon. I thought it strange that that could have injured my foot to this extent because the impact hadn’t been that hard.

My husband came into the house and asked if I could go on an errand for him. I told him I didn’t think I could use my foot on either the gas pedal or the brake. When he saw the pain I was in, he offered to take me to a doctor. I then remembered that I had recently seen a woman wearing a big padded boot, and I initially wondered if something like that might help me get around. But instead, I sat down to pray about the situation.
