The poor wise man
Who is the “poor wise man” 1
who saves the city?
Could it be a blessed, humble man who is poor in spirit?
Could it be a meek man who inherits the earth?
Could the wisdom he is expressing be the reflection of divine Truth and Mind?
And what really saves the city?
Could it be simply the clear perception of the New Jerusalem—
that understanding of the spiritual facts of eternal life and the atmosphere of divine Love?
Could not each of us be that poor wise man, right here and now,
who claims the harmony of infinite good in the heavenly city?
