Swift recovery from pain and paralysis
I was in bed one evening when I was suddenly struck with pain in my upper back, neck, and shoulders.
I was unable to move or get out of bed. As a student of Christian Science, I have learned that I can always turn to God, who is “a very present help in trouble” (Psalms 46:1). So I reached out to God in earnest prayer, asking what I needed to know about this situation. I have learned through my study and practice of Christian Science that when our thoughts yield to the harmony of the one divine Mind, God, we are healed.
Not long before this, I had purchased a home and moved in, after which it became increasingly evident that the sellers had made a habit of cutting corners while remodeling. The apparent incompetence left me unable to feel at peace in the new home. I felt constant frustration and stress, along with anger directed at the previous owners.
