A healing from a father in Nigeria
More than a year ago, our younger daughter was stung by a scorpion outside on our veranda. She screamed, and I immediately assured her that she was safe. In the Bible, we read about men like Daniel and Paul, who demonstrated God’s protection from harm because they knew that God, divine Love, is the only creator and power and that all that He creates is good.
Mary Baker Eddy explains in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “Understanding the control which Love held over all, Daniel felt safe in the lions’ den, and Paul proved the viper to be harmless. All of God’s creatures, moving in the harmony of Science, are harmless, useful, indestructible” (p. 514).
Just a few minutes after I voiced that statement of truth, my daughter became calm. She returned to her activities, free of pain or any other repercussions. To this day, she is fine.
I am very grateful to God Almighty, to whom I surrender my whole heart, for Christian Science.
