Divine Truth, or God, isn’t aloof from our human needs, but as we apprehend Truth, is practical in meeting them.
We can rely less on personal effort and instead rest in the truth that the Mind of Christ is God and is ours, now and always, ushering in the light that dispels the darkness, releasing us all from rumination and bringing peace of mind and heart.
God was assuring me that our family would have what we needed. We could trust in our Father-Mother God’s care and provision. My fear was gone.
I took home several copies of The Herald of Christian Science from the Christian Science Reading Room. The testimonies of healing in the magazines inspired me so much that I realized everyone could perform such healings if we understood and applied these teachings.
As clear thinkers, we are clear pray-ers, and we can see the results of our prayers in our lives.
This experience left me with valuable lessons, one of which is that a truth, even if not fully understood, neutralizes the error of disease or inharmony that seems so real to us.
There were breakthrough moments when I was able to see my neighbor and his wife as God’s children—as loved and filled only with love—the way God sees them.
As the day went on, I was not feeling any better. Then, it occurred to me that I could pray for the world, especially those who are engaged in conflicts and other severe situations.
Across lakes, into a kingdom, I reach out my hand to clasp yours, with this silent benediction …
“Born of God” illustrates the inherent nature of God’s children—the Godlikeness that excludes the possibility of sin.
