Cherished
When thought waits in shadow,
Yearning for God’s presence,
Don’t fret—look up!
Love illumines your path.
Even if it seems but a faint glow,
In your heart of hearts you know
God is near.
Do you cherish yourself as Love’s perfect child?
Or do you wallow in the muck,
Believing in the notion of muddy mortality?
You can feel the truth of God’s allness,
The onlyness of His power,
Washing away your fears.
Mind knows you,
Soul paints you with glorious hues,
Principle guides and governs you,
Truth is your pure essence,
Life eternally unfolds your purpose.
Love’s radiance enfolds you
In the warm glow of affection.
Not once in eternity has Spirit loosed its grasp on creation,
Not once have you slipped from God’s arms—
You are His cherished child!
The still, small voice whispers in your ear,
You are forever My blessed one,
In whom I am well pleased.
