This gentle grace

Stop and think with me, if you will,
of the allness and wholeness of God—
Her tender love, Her ideas fulfilled,
Her protective embrace; be awed!

Contemplate Her warm goodwill.
Consider Her ever-presence here—
God’s kingdom come, with healing skill,
Her care and power so ever near.

Then, when amid the darkest night,
no guiding truth is lifting the unease,
behold the early dawning light—
bow your head and bend your knees.

Here feel Love’s sufficient holy grace—
the tender touch, the veil rent,
God’s watchful care right in this place—
as Love’s angels quell the discontent.

This is our Father-Mother’s gentle grace;
ineffable is Her tender deed.
In Her all-encompassing embrace,
we rest, we hear—we need not plead.

Nestled in Her strong clasp,
be at peace.
Love brings you to the guarded fold;
Love delivers sweet release.
