Prayer blooms
Originally published for the Christian Science Sentinel online on May 19, 2023
Wait.
As the hibiscus unfurls
in the morning warmth,
thought abiding in God’s love
will blossom.
The bud of yesterday’s prayer
is ready for today’s sun of Soul,
and easily opens
to inspiration.
We know that
the glory of Spirit
cannot be outshone,
for darkness does not shine.
Wait.
Here, Love designs the day
where prayer blooms
into the flower of
perfect wholeness.
