Newborn healed of hip click
When our son was a newborn, he was given a full physical exam by the attending physician. She noted on his medical chart that he had a condition referred to in lay terms as a “hip click.” She said that the clicking sound in his hip was an indication that it could come out of joint, and if not attended to immediately, could result in our son not walking properly, if at all. She was concerned that permanent disability or deformity was a possibility.
The doctor suggested that we have the baby fitted for a little brace that he would wear for a few months to hold the leg in position and, ideally, solve the problem, although there was no guarantee that this would work. The doctor explained that this condition was not one that an infant could simply grow out of and strongly encouraged us to have the brace fitted immediately.
As concerning as this diagnosis was, my thought instantly went to the many spiritual truths I had already been cherishing about this baby’s God-reflecting perfection during the pregnancy. These enabled me to silently rebel at both the prediction of disability and the thought of putting this child into a restraint for months. I had experienced and witnessed many healings through Christian Science, so I knew our son could be healed.
