Reflection’s gift
Why would we believe the evil we saw
and stand aghast at that mere vacuity,
even supposed millennia of sad inanity?
Letting go of fear or frustration,
of any confusion or humiliation,
we can surrender, in utter awe,
through divine reflection’s law,
to Life’s, God’s, goodness, power, perpetuity;
to pure and present, inviolable Love,
whose clear, gentle wisdom from above
bids us to view those stars—all that light
instead of darkness, all that’s bright—
witnessing our ever-assured inseparability
from Spirit, thus our joy-filled spirituality,
and feeling the healing beauty
of reflection’s gift: humility.
