A decisive “no” brings healing
Many years ago I was suffering from stomach flu and was up late into the night. I alternated between my bed and the bathroom, unable to find relief.
In the midst of this, there came a point when I’d had enough. I knew I had a God-given right to health and freedom, so I decided to put my foot down on the lie that I could be sick. While in the bathroom I firmly said out loud, “I am not leaving here until I am healed!”
That was the end of the symptoms. I was able to return to bed and sleep peacefully the rest of the night. A significant blessing of this healing is that I have never again encountered this problem in the almost two decades since.
