Healings during and after childbirth
Church had always been an important part of my life growing up. I loved attending the Christian Science Sunday School and learning about the healing power of the Christ, which Jesus demonstrated and which Mary Baker Eddy explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. With my parents’ help, I experienced many healings through prayer.
After college, I began attending church less and less frequently, until I stopped altogether, and also stopped studying Christian Science, praying, and progressing in my understanding of God.
However, several years later, after my husband and I had completed our master’s degrees, we had a number of challenges. I felt guided back to church and to studying, and I had a few healings during this time. Most important, I was learning more about my relationship to God. I learned that I could turn to God to meet my every need. I was listening more for God’s direction.
