The atmosphere of Love
Love’s not a wind
that comes and goes,
that buffets some
or fails to blow.
Love’s currents move
with purpose strong,
to purge away
all thoughts of wrong.
But we can yield
to Love divine;
and if we do,
then we shall find
Love’s atmosphere
is calm and still
to those who know
and do God’s will.
And at the start
or end of day,
Love’s gentleness
is here to stay.
James Walter
