Disarming violence

Our God-created selves are not at all given to violence, anger, frustration, or humiliation. We are, in fact, made to love, not hate or hurt—whether others or ourselves.
I understood that I could be confident that the spiritual ideas I’d been cherishing in prayer were real and true because they were the Word of God, the divine Science (or practical knowledge) of God and His spiritual creation.
Who knew that removing self-justification from my thought would have such a huge impact?
I am filled with untold gratitude and am in awe of Mrs. Eddy’s obedience to God in fulfilling Jesus’ command to preach the gospel and heal the sick.
I started praying, and the thought that came to me was a camp song.
I had visited various other churches, but Christian Science shed new light on the Scriptures that I found very inspiring. A month or so later, I had the opportunity to prove firsthand what I’d been reading in Science and Health.
I kept in touch with my daughter and her family during their quarantine, and although my daughter did have some of the symptoms, she recovered quite quickly.
Through prayer, we are lifted to a higher understanding of God’s allness and our true and unlimited identity as God’s much-loved children.
Blessing God implies more than simple praise—it includes wholehearted affection and gratitude.
