Prayer cuts through red tape
My husband and I were excited about his new Navy orders. We were going back to Hawaii and would be transferring in early April, which meant that our “pack out,” the date the movers would collect our furniture and belongings, would be in February.
I knew our federal tax return would be due April 15, and that the responsible thing for me to do would be to complete it before the pack out, as soon as I had all the required information. I did so, and sent off the return to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).
The day of our pack out arrived, and all our belongings, including the backup papers I had used for filling out the tax return, were packed in boxes, then loaded and locked into large wooden containers that would be driven to a port in another state and put onto a cargo ship heading for Hawaii.
