Answering the call of hungry hearts
Dear Readers,
Fresh, relevant content. Inspiring and shareable. Making a difference to how humanity thinks about and approaches issues of the day by identifying and addressing the deeper, spiritual needs behind them. These are some of the ideas at the forefront of thought as we move ahead with considering how the periodicals can continue to advance their missions.
With more than 135 years of uninterrupted publishing of Christian Science periodicals, we continue to expect these magazines to grow in relevance and accessibility for all audiences. We want to take on new, engaging topics, writing about them in a way that is practical and direct, while continuing to answer the call of hungering humanity for deep metaphysics that lifts consciousness above the human into the divine, to transform and heal. In naming the mission of The Herald of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy points to the “universal activity and availability of Truth” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353), and we expect all of our periodicals to appeal to as wide an audience of seekers for Truth as possible.
