Aggressive flu symptoms healed quickly
In the mid-1970s I took a business trip from Los Angeles to Frankfurt, Germany. The trip began in the late afternoon and included a change of planes in New York City. When I arrived in New York, I was experiencing symptoms of the flu. The symptoms were so aggressive that I was not able to think clearly enough to pray for myself.
There were no empty seats in the waiting area for the flight to Frankfurt, so I sat down on the floor and started carefully reading the chapter “Christian Science Practice” in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I continued reading during the flight to Frankfurt and completed reading the chapter as the flight was preparing for its descent.
When I finished the chapter, I realized I had been completely healed. And even though I had been reading all night, I also felt rested—as if I had just had a good night’s sleep. Furthermore, there was a flight attendant sitting next to me during the descent. He told me that all of the flight attendants had the flu when we left New York, and they all felt fine as we were descending into Frankfurt.
