Effective analogy
[Mark Swinney, “Are we independent thinkers?” Sentinel, August 12, 2019]
This article was absolutely wonderful in its simplicity and clarity. The analogy regarding the way a musician practices the part of a score that is giving problems until it has been mastered was very effective.

A breath of fresh air
[Geoffrey Hibbs, “The beauty of moderation,” Sentinel, August 12, 2019]
Excellent article! It’s well thought through and presented in a way for all to understand. In a world where extreme thinking is shouting to be heard as the norm, this article is a breath of fresh air. Thank you.

God’s beloved children
Thanks so much for this timely, insightful, and healing article, “Freedom from the immigrant race tax” by Karim Ajania (Sentinel, August 5, 2019). Labels and stereotypes—whether racial, ethnic, economic, political, educational, or anything else—attempt to define people through false characterizations that are restrictive and unjust. What joy and freedom come from growing in our understanding, through the teachings of the Christ, of the true identity of each one of us as nothing less than God’s beloved children.
