An answer to prayer
I grew up in a home where church and the Bible were an integral part of my experience. My dad was a preacher, and our family attended church every Sunday and Wednesday. I heard many sermons and attended many classes on the Bible, which I enjoyed.
However, I had a multitude of unanswered questions, and many of the answers I did receive left me hungering for a deeper understanding. I prayed, quietly and desperately, “Please, Father, show me the face of Christ.”
When I was in college, my dad passed on, and I also had some romantic heartbreak. Then one day a friend, seeing my sadness, said there was a woman he wanted me to meet.
