The following healing changed the way I pray. It was a milestone for me, one that I turn to when I am facing a challenge and need to remember what prayer can do.

In the early 2000s I developed a skin condition on my face. I had attended the Christian Science Sunday School from as early as I can remember and had chosen to embrace the Science of the Christ as a young adult. I had experienced many proofs of the healing power of prayer in my life, so it was to prayer that I turned to be free of the skin condition.

The condition improved but did not entirely disappear. Then it flared up in a much more troublesome way. This pattern was repeated numerous times over a period of many years. At different points I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me.
