Healed of severe pain
My favorite author, Mary Baker Eddy, wrote in her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, “Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you will control yourself harmoniously” (p. 392).
I’m grateful for an opportunity I had to prove that idea, which gave me an unwavering trust in God’s goodness and power. I learned that it is wise to admit only thoughts of good into our consciousness—to trust in our God-given perfection and reject suggestions that we could be outside of God’s love or protection.
At the beginning of June 2017, I took a plane to a city where I was to give a talk about Christian Science healing. When my husband met my plane at the airport, he was surprised to see that I was being brought off the plane in a wheelchair. The attendants warned us that I must be taken immediately to a hospital because I was in great pain, unable to walk, and only semiconscious.
