A healing lesson … from my cowgirl boots?
My cowgirl boots were too tight! I tugged. I pulled. There. One boot was on. I had to hurry. I didn’t want to be late for school!
I tried to shove my foot into my other boot while holding the back of the boot. Somehow my heel slipped. It squashed my thumb. My thumbnail was barely hanging on, and my finger hurt. But my boot was on!
I ran to show my mom my thumb. Mom held my hand and assured me I was safe. She told me God loves me, so I could never be hurt. She started praying right away.
