Bumping into a glass ceiling?
One day not long ago, while on a hike with my dog, I was feeling frustrated that a woman had not yet held the highest political office in my country. There had been quite a bit of press about how this was “the final glass ceiling” for women to crack, and the fact that it hadn’t been done yet felt like proof that opportunities for women were still limited.
As I hiked along, contemplating my feeling of discouragement, a question came to me: Do I really believe there is a glass ceiling?
My first response was, “Yes, I think there is!” But as I stood there thinking further about it, I knew the true answer was that, to spiritual sense, there never had been and never would be a glass ceiling for anyone to have to crack, because there are no limitations on God, and therefore no limitations on His children.
